By accessing or using Toiletly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree, please do not use our website or mobile applications.

Description of Service

Toiletly is a toilet finder service available through our website (toiletly.app) and our official mobile applications on Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS).

Our service helps users locate public restrooms and related facilities, and includes:

Interactive maps showing toilet locations
User-generated content (UGC) such as reviews, photos, and accessibility updates
Community-driven edits and confirmations
Account profiles and XP-based gamification
Mobile apps and a responsive website

These Terms apply to all platforms equally.

User Accounts

Account Creation

You may use Toiletly without an account, or optionally create one for additional features.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
Do not share your account credentials with others.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app via Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and associated personal data, although some contributions (e.g. toilet listings) may remain in anonymised form.
You can also make data deletion requests via toiletly.app/delete-account.

Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

Finding toilet locations.
Contributing accurate, lawful, and helpful information.
Sharing relevant photos of toilets or facilities.
Participating in the community through confirmations, reviews, or edits.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Misuse the Service – for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
Submit False Information – false, misleading, or fabricated data.
Upload Inappropriate Images – photos containing people, offensive material, or private property without consent.
Harass – harass, abuse, or harm others.
Spam – post repetitive or irrelevant content.
Breach Security – attempt to access restricted systems.
Interfere – disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
Commercial Use – use the service for profit without permission.
Infringe Copyright – violate the rights of others.

User-Generated Content

Content Standards

All content you submit (including toilet listings, reviews, photos, and comments) must:

Be accurate, lawful, and relevant.
Not contain identifiable images of others.
Not include offensive, discriminatory, or defamatory material.
Respect privacy and intellectual property rights.

Content Licence

By submitting content, you grant Toiletly Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

Host, reproduce, and distribute your content.
Modify or adapt it for technical or display purposes.
Display it publicly within the app and website.
Use it to promote the Toiletly platform in a fair and non-exploitative way.

You retain ownership of your original content.

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to:

Review, moderate, or remove any content at our discretion.
Suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
Edit submissions for clarity or accuracy.
Anonymise content from deleted accounts when appropriate.

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

Toiletly, its name, logo, and all proprietary designs are owned by Toiletly Ltd.
The website and app design, layout, and code are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

Your Rights

You retain ownership of content you submit.
You may use our services under these Terms.
You may link to our site fairly and legally without implying endorsement.

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Disclaimers

Service Availability

We aim for reliability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
Occasional downtime may occur for maintenance or updates.
We are not liable for outages beyond our control.

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee all listings are correct.
User-generated content reflects individual contributions.
Always verify details before relying on information in the app.

Third-Party Content

Third-Party Services

Toiletly integrates third-party services such as:

OpenStreetMap and Google Maps (mapping)
Firebase and Google Analytics (analytics and crash reporting)

These providers have their own terms and privacy policies. By using Toiletly, you acknowledge that limited technical data may be processed by these services as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (if any).
We are not responsible for user-generated content or misuse by others.

Termination

When you download Toiletly from Google Play or the Apple App Store, you also agree to those stores’ own terms of service and usage rules.
Neither Google nor Apple provides support for the Toiletly app, and neither is responsible for any claims arising from your use of it.

Certain features or permissions may vary between Android and iOS.
All functionality is governed by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

International Use

Toiletly is available globally.
You must comply with all local laws when using the service.
Some features may be restricted in certain jurisdictions.

Beta Features

We may offer experimental features for testing.
Such features may be unstable or incomplete.
We may modify or remove them without notice.

These Terms of Service are effective as of November 3, 2025 and remain in effect until replaced or modified.
